As the cessation of LIBOR draws closer, LCH SwapClear continues to innovate and support members and clients in their transition to alternative RFRs. In Q3 2021, the service saw strong clearing activity, with cleared swaps trades referencing RFRs reaching new highs. 

LCH ForexClear had a record client clearing month in September, with all-time highs in client notional and client trades cleared. 

In Q3 2021, LCH RepoClear started clearing and accepting as collateral the first UK Green Gilt and NGEU bills, and we launched on-boarding for Sponsored Clearing on Euro debt, extending the benefits of clearing to even more buy-side participants.

Designed to simplify the processing, margining and settlement of non-cleared derivatives, LCH SwapAgent continued to see strong growth in Q3, with new cross-currency trade registrations up 44% over Q2 and the highly successful RFR First initiative accelerating the transition to RFRs.
